As part of the French-Geneva regional committee and in connection to the "Franco-Vaud-Geneva metropolitan area project" the CCG participates to establish a "Cross-border housing program" (PDHT). The aim is to define a cross-border policy for the creation of housings based on an 'inventory' on both sides of the border and leading to operational recommendations in France as well as in Switzerland. This program is the "housing" part of the agglomeration project and benefits of a interregional subvention.
This work is done together with the "Communauté de Communes of the Pays de Gex" and the agglomeration of Annemasse, the DDE 74 and DDE 01, The Conseil Général 74 and the Conseil Général 01 and the Conseil Régional, on the French side.
After having met the local parties involved the design offices ACEIF and URBAPLAN established a first diagnostic which included the definition of the stakes involved (phase 1 of the program).
The results have been presented at the Cross-border forum for housing in Divonne the 15th of June 2006 and discussed during workshops (phase 2).
The offices will end their task with the elaboration of en engagement chart (3rd phase). This chart will remind the main principles and the diagnostic on both sides, but its most important point will be the listed actions to be taken and precise engagements made by all partners to create housings.
