Drinking water: an essential point
The development program for the supply of drinking water:
This is a projected document which after approval from the concerned communes allows a general view on the situation of the drinking water supply in our territory.
Why a development program for drinking water?
- In order to respect regulation: planned consumption and protection of sources, pressure and quantity of distribution, norms of drinking quality, water for fire fighting, management of urbanisation
- To face local constraints: topography, actual state of installations, strong urbanisation
- To face financial constraints: budget of the water service, running costs, investment and renewal of the patrimonies, instalments of credits and financial capacities of the communes.
The objectives :
- optimising the installations of drinking water supply and the community springs
- organising the "drinking water" services of the communes
- defining the budgets for the supply of drinking water of the communes
- organising the water for fire fighting
- including these data into a local development program.
The results of the study will be known at the end of the year 2006.
