What is the RAM?

The RAM creates a favourable environment for the conditions how children between 0 and 6 years of age are looked after at the homes of childminders.

This is neither a care centre nor an employer for childminders. It is a place of exchange where you find someone to listen to you, where you find information and activities for parents, children and childminders.

At the agency you will find all information about how to care for your child, the rights and obligations of the employer and employee, an example of contract and the list of childminders in the canton (about 220 authorised childminders).

The agency provides the childminders with a support for their daily work and organises meetings with various subjects.

What services are offered to the parents?

• Information about the different types of child care: day care centre, ‘mixed’ care centre, child care at their home or at the childminder’s home.
• Help find an appropriate care.
• Support for administrative formalities: employment contract, payslip, and help with officialdom (URSSAF and CAF...)

Which services are offered the childminders?

• Information about the steps to follow for obtaining the official licence to become an authorised childminder, and the connected advantages.
• Organisation of meetings to avoid the isolation of the childminder and to accompany them in their work.
• Information about legislation applicable to childminders: professional status, salary...
• Meetings about different subjects in relation to their activity: balanced food, motivity of the child...

For the child the agency represents a place of curiosity and contact during activities (music, reading, manual work, games...) which help their progressive socialisation.
